만하다

1 【정도가】be enough to; be to the extent of; be as big[little] as; be as much[little] as; be the size of
▶ 새알만하다 be the size of a bird´s egg; be as small as a bird´s egg
▶ 불가능이라 해도 좋을 만하다 It is next to impossible. or It is almost[practically] impossible.
▶ 그는 거지라 해도 좋을 만했다 He was little better than a beggar.
▶ 그만한 것쯤 알고 있지 I know as much.
▶ 그만한 것쯤 살 돈은 갖고 있다 I have enough money to buy it with.

▶ 볼 만하다 be worth seeing

▶ 쉴 만한 공원 a park that is a good place to relax in

▶ 그 책은 읽을 만하다 The book is worth reading[is readable].
▶ 그것은 능히 천 명을 먹일 만하다 That is sufficient to feed a thousand men.
▶ 가르쳐서 겨우 일할 만하다 싶으면 그만두어 버린다 You teach them the ropes, and just when you think they may be ready to pull their own weight, they quit.
